Job summary

The City of Foley is seeking a CDL-trained driver to operate front-load garbage trucks on assigned routes and to lead fellow crew members on the truck. The role requires safe operation of knuckle boom loaders and dumpster deliveries as part of daily tasks.

Applicants must hold a valid CDL (Class A or B) and have a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of related experience. Background check and pre-employment screenings are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A or B CDL Driver’s License.
• Two years of experience in a related field or equivalent.
• Successful applicants must pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-load garbage trucks on designated routes.
• Operate knuckle boom loader for landfill removal.
• Deliver dumpsters to new customers and replace old ones.
• Perform vehicle maintenance using tools listed.
• Log maintenance and route information.
• Interact with public, supervisors, and staff.
• Operate additional equipment as needed.
