Job summary

The Blackfoot Company is seeking an entry-level sanitation collection truck operator to service city routes and maintain equipment. The role involves outdoor work in varying weather conditions, and on-call hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

You will perform container handling, basic truck maintenance, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards while supporting the Public Works Department’s operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
• Two years of experience in equipment operation or general labor tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operates a sanitation collection truck on an assigned route.
• Empties containers and transports contents to transfer station or disposal site.
• Performs assembly, delivery, pickup, and repair work on collection containers.
• Performs routine and minor maintenance on sanitation trucks and other equipment.
• Maintains compliance with health, environmental and safety standards.
• Assists in equipment maintenance and performs related duties.
