Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a PDI Route Driver to operate a semi-tractor/trailer and ensure on-time deliveries while delivering excellent customer service at store locations. You will perform pre/post trip inspections, manage required paperwork, and comply with DOT regulations and hours-of-service rules.

The role requires a CDL license, DOT certification, a 21+ age minimum, and 1–2 years of semi-driving experience. Lifting up to 100 pounds is sometimes required; electronic logging devices are used for

Qualifications

• CDL license required and DOT certified.
• 21 years of age or older.
• 1–2 years semi-driving experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate semi-tractor and trailer to scheduled destinations.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain DOT hours and logging requirements.
• Provide customer service at store locations and manage product placement.
• Handle backhauls and verify pallet counts and temperatures.
• Submit daily bid for scheduled work days and assist with paperwork.
