Job summary

Airgas is hiring a District Floater Warehouse/CDL Route Backup Driver for Central Illinois. Based in Bloomington or Danville, IL, you will load, stock, deliver, and service cryogenic cylinders while following safety and DOT guidelines.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 6 am start, home daily, with a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications include Class A CDL, HazMat endorsement within 60 days, 1 year of driving experience, ability to lift heavy loads, and willingness to work outdoors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience in the last 5 years.
• Must have Class A CDL and be eligible for HazMat endorsement within 60 days of hire.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass background and motor vehicle checks.
• DOT drug-testing compliance and ability to maintain a safe driving record.
• Ability to lift 25–75 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying temperatures and environments.
• Forklift experience and ability to operate warehouse equipment if required.

Responsibilities

• Stock, label, pick, pack, and distribute materials and supplies.
• Receive, check, and store delivered materials; conduct regular inventory checks.
• Enforce proper receipt, storage, and distribution policies and review invoices.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Deliver compressed gas cylinders and liquid cylinders on scheduled routes to customers.
• Load and unload trucks, retrieve empty cylinders, and return for refilling.
• Maintain accurate vehicle documentation and professional appearance.
