Qualifications

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state where the position works.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Understand refuse collection policies and DOT/state requirements for CMV operators.
• Must communicate in English clearly with customers, coworkers, dispatch and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Secure containers by attaching hooks and lifting them onto the truck bed; secure straps and tarp containers.
• Provide courteous, expeditious customer service while performing refuse operations.
• Answer questions from customers and direct them to Customer Service or Sales for more information.
• Operate compaction and lift equipment on the vehicle.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections according to Waste Pro procedures and DOT guidelines; complete DVIR daily.
• Maintain a clean truck and inspect under the hood and undercarriage, check fluids and tires.
