Job summary

Transdev in Arlington, VA is seeking a Road Supervisor to ensure routes are completed safely and on time, and to communicate job requirements to drivers. The role includes day-to-day scheduling and reporting to local management.

The ideal candidate will hold a High School Diploma or GED, a valid CDL, and 2–3 years of transit supervisory experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office. The job involves outdoor work and flexible shifts, plus DOT drug-testing compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• 2–3 years supervisory experience with hourly transit staff preferred.
• Proficient with basic Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Communicate job requirements and responsibilities to drivers.
• Day to day scheduling, counseling, and submitting evaluation reports to local management.
• Conduct on-the-scene accident investigations; assist drivers in preparing accident reports and safety documents.
• Develop and host driver training and safety courses; train new drivers and retrain drivers involved in accidents.
• Observe drivers on the road and document safety violations; ensure compliance with policies.
• Liaise between drivers and customers on service concerns; monitor driver safety and performance.
• Assist Safety Manager with DOT/FTA compliance and drug testing.
