Transdev in Chicago, IL is hiring a Road Supervisor. The role ensures routes are completed safely and on time, with a strong emphasis on customer service and safety compliance. You will manage daily scheduling, coach drivers, and oversee incident reporting.

Responsibilities include driver training, on-the-road supervision, and DOT/FTA compliance support. A CDL Class B with Air Brakes & Passenger endorsements is required, along with supervisory experience and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL Class B with Air Brakes and Passenger endorsements required.
• 2–3 years supervisory experience with hourly transit employees preferred.
• Computer literate: basic Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Communicate job requirements and responsibilities to drivers.
• Schedule daily operations and submit evaluation reports to local management.
• Conduct on-scene accident investigations and assist with safety reports.
• Develop and host driver training and safety courses; retrain drivers as needed.
• Observe drivers on the road and document safety violations.
• Serve as liaison between drivers, customers and the organization on safety concerns.
• Monitor driver safety and performance per legal and labor policies.
• Assist Safety Manager with DOT/FTA compliance including drug testing.
• Drive routes periodically.
• Other duties as required.
