Job summary

Waste Pro is hiring a CDL driver to operate refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes to pick up garbage, yard waste, or recycling. You will supervise route helpers, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensure timely, courteous service while adhering to DOT and company safety standards.

This role requires a Class A or B CDL, a clean driving record, and the ability to work 8–12 hour shifts in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Understand refuse collection policies and DOT requirements for CMV operators.
• Able to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives on pre-established routes and dumps refuse at designated facilities.
• Provides courteous, expeditious customer service to the public and customers.
• Ensures proper pickup and transfer of garbage and recyclables; adheres to routes.
• Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections per company/DOT guidelines.
• Maintains and cleans truck; conducts periodic wash and under-hood checks.
• Prepares and submits required reports and documents.
• Oversees helpers on the designated route and complies with DOT/state requirements.
