Job summary

Waste Pro is hiring energetic CDL drivers to operate residential refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes. You will supervise helpers, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure safe, courteous service to customers.

A $10,000 driver award is available and growth opportunities exist within a safety-conscious team. Responsibilities include operating a refuse truck safely, following DOT rules, maintaining equipment, and completing required reports.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with clean driving record.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Understanding of refuse collection policies and DOT requirements.
• Ability to hear in the normal audio range.
• Normal vision with or without correction.
• Satisfactory physical mobility for heavy equipment operation.
• Experience driving refuse trucks and safety practices.
• Ability to follow routes and schedules.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions.
• Maintain written records and service reports.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives truck on pre-established route and dumps garbage.
• Provides courteous customer service in all aspects of refuse operation.
• Ensures proper pickup and labeling as needed.
• Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Maintains and cleans truck; conducts routine checks.
• Assists with cleanup and lifting tasks as needed.
• Prepares required reports and documents.
• Manages personnel on vehicle during route.
• Complies with DOT and state requirements.
• May work during emergencies.
