Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking energetic CDL drivers to operate residential refuse collection trucks on pre-assigned routes. The role includes supervising helpers, performing pre/post trip checks, and maintaining paperwork as required.

Ideal candidates are at least 21, with a valid CDL A or B, a clean driving record, and strong English communication. The position offers on-site work and opportunities to earn a driver award program.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state; clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Understand DOT requirements for commercial motor vehicle operators.
• Hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction.
• Seeing in the normal visual range with or without correction.
• Ability to drive refuse collection trucks and follow safety practices.
• Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, dispatch and supervisors in English.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives truck on pre-established route following DT and safety guidelines.
• Provides courteous, expeditious customer service on all routes.
• Ensures proper pickup and transfer of garbage and recyclables; handles back door pickups when needed.
• Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections and documents safety checks.
• Washes and maintains truck exterior; inspects under hood and tires.
• Assists with loading/unloading and manages routine manual tasks.
• Prepares and submits required reports and paperwork.
• Oversees crew on vehicle during route and supports team safety.
• Complies with DOT and state vehicle operation requirements; may work during emergencies.
