Job summary

GFL Environmental in the United States is seeking a Residential Driver to safely collect waste, yard waste, and recyclables on curbside and backdoor routes with rear-load trucks. You will operate hydraulic and compaction equipment, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and provide courteous service to neighbors while maintaining safety as the top priority.

CDL required or one year of driving experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather

Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
At least 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
Commitment to safety-sensitive functions and a clean driving record.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather and lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
Strong spatial awareness and backing into tight spaces.

Responsibilities

Operate rear-load trucks to collect waste, yard waste, and recyclables on curbside or backdoor routes.
Safely navigate residential areas with focus on safety and efficiency.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and proper vehicle checks.
Provide courteous, reliable service and ensure containers are handled with care.
