Job summary

FCC Environmental Services in Daytona, FL is seeking a CDL Driver for rear-load routes. The role requires a valid CDL Class A or B and a commitment to safe operation on residential streets and alleys.

Responsibilities include daily pre/post-trip inspections, paperwork, and maintaining on-time service while complying with DOT and FMCSA rules. Prior garbage/recycling experience is preferred; physical ability to lift heavy objects is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Garbage/Recycling experience preferred.
• CDL Class A or B valid.
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects.
• Must meet DOT regulations.
• Must be registered with FMCSA's Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post-operation checks on a commercial vehicle per FCC regulations.
• Safely operate vehicles on assigned routes including streets, neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Manually and/or joystick-controlled operations in compliance with safety procedures.
• Interact courteously with co-workers, dispatchers and customers to ensure timely service.
• Monitor vehicle status to keep it mission-ready and minimize downtime.
• Complete paperwork and reports accurately.
• Maintain productivity to ensure timely service for clients.
• Follow and enforce all safety regulations and procedures.
