Job summary

FCC Environmental Services is seeking a dedicated full-time driver in Daytona Beach to safely operate a Class B commercial vehicle for garbage and recycling collection on assigned routes, including residential neighborhoods.

The role requires pre/post-trip inspections, adherence to DOT regulations, courteous interaction with customers and dispatch, and accurate paperwork. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and prior waste-collection experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a Class B CDL and a clean driving record.
• Experience in garbage/recycling collection preferred.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements and pass drug testing.
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary per job demands.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post-operation checks on commercial vehicles per FCC regulations.
• Safely operate vehicles on assigned routes including residential areas.
• Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely service.
• Complete necessary paperwork and reports accurately.
• Follow all safety regulations to maintain a safe workplace and equipment.

It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.Position Summary:The driver position is responsible for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle and providing prompt and complete collection services.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Completes a pre/post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition.Ensures commercial vehicles are safely operated on allocated routes that encompass roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.Ability to manually and/or automate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with the FCC's safety regulations and procedures.Engages courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure that all services are performed in a timely and professional way.Continuously monitors the vehicle's status to ensure it remains operationally ready in order to reduce downtime.Completes necessary paperwork and other reports accurately.Maintains departmental productivity standards to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely and effective way.Follows and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.RequirementsEducation:High School diploma or GEDExperience and Competencies:Garbage/Recycling experience preferredClass B commercial driver’s licenseAbility to lift or carry heavy objects as necessaryMust meet all qualifications as defined under Department of Transportation regulationsClearinghouse profile requiredFCC is a drug-free workplace.
