Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking Transportation Associates to support its yard and transportation network. You will move trailers, coordinate yard activities, and perform audits while training for CDL programs and other DOT-required certifications.

You’ll work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, ensuring on-time trailer movements and compliance with safety and DOT regulations. Evening and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid and active driver's license.
• High School or equivalent diploma.
• 21 years of age or older with English proficiency.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and work shifts up to 12 hours.
• Work 40 hours/week with overtime as required.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Must meet DOT requirements.
• Ability to understand and adhere to safety guidelines in English.

Responsibilities

• Make safety a priority and enforce safety measures for all vehicle operators and yard entrants.
• Coordinate yard activities to ensure trailers arrive/depart on time with zero defects.
• Operate CMVs on yards or non-public roads to move trailers to docks and parking locations.
• Learn and comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Complete vehicle inspection reports and notify management of issues.
• Follow schedules, track hours/breaks, and comply with regulations.
• Provide peer training and cover nearby sites as needed.
• Drive, maneuver, and load/unload trucks with approved equipment.
