WE WILL TRAIN! Upon successful hire and completion of the CDL/Bus training program, the district will pay the costs of certification and up to 40 hours of training time.

The role involves transporting students safely on scheduled routes and trips, with on-call hours and the potential for occasional late-evening duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age 21.
• Valid state driver’s license with Class B CDL endorsements.
• Current WA State School Bus Driver’s Authorization.
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
• First Aid/CPR card.
• Fingerprint clearance (WA/FB I).
• I-9 form verification.
• Complete district training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus on scheduled routes or trips for district-approved activities.
• Operate bus per regulations and traffic laws.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip safety inspections.
• Load/unload students at stops, ensure safety belts if applicable.
• Report accidents to the office.
• Maintain compliance with school bus driver training.
• Operate and maintain bus equipment and accessories.
• Follow district procedures and policies.
• Be available for out-of-town trips and late shifts.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
