Job summary

Texas Materials, A CRH company, is seeking a Ready Mix Driver for the Athens/Tyler area to transport ready mix concrete to construction projects and company facilities. The role requires operating mixer trucks safely under supervisor guidance and delivering to industrial and residential sites.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and a CDL A or B license, with at least 3 years of similar driving experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years experience driving trucks with similar weight and equipment preferred.
• Must have valid CDL A or CDL B license.
• Must pass DOT physical, drug screen and criminal background check.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines.
• Load and unload equipment or materials.
• Monitor gauges during vehicle operation.
• Maintain daily vehicle mileage logs.
• Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Obey dispatch instructions and safety requirements.
• Ensure product quality to the best of your ability.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to supervisor.
• Keep vehicle clean and in orderly condition.
• Attend work as scheduled and be punctual.
• Other duties as assigned.
