Job summary

Sunrise FS in Illinois seeks an Equipment Operator to run commercial sprayers and support trucks, applying crop inputs per label directions and maintaining accurate records. You will conduct pre-trip checks, ensure road and DOT compliance, and help keep equipment in top condition.

Requires a high school diploma, a valid driving record, and the ability to obtain a CDL within a year. Pesticide license eligibility, extended hours, and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be willing to obtain and maintain a CDL license within 1 year.
• Must possess a satisfactory driving record and valid medical card.
• Ability to obtain pesticide/applicator license or other licenses/certifications as needed.
• Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and professionally applies crop production inputs to fields according to labels.
• Records application data according to regulations and standards.
• Safely operates sprayers, floaters, and trucks to meet company and DOT standards.
• Performs pre-trip inspections and daily safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Loads/unloads materials and ensures proper axle weights and balance.
• Assists with inventory control and daily application record turnover.
