Job summary

Wind River Environmental is hiring a Pump Technician in Georgia to perform residential and commercial pumping and disposal of non-hazardous waste. The role involves operating a service truck, driving to sites, and delivering excellent customer service.

The base pay range is $26.00 - $30.00 hourly at posting, with final compensation based on location, experience, and skills. Benefits and growth opportunities are offered as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Class A or B CDL required.
• Tanker Endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to drive manual transmission.
• At least 1 year of professional commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Basic computer literacy (email, internet).
• Must pass a DOT drug screen, physical exam, and road test.
• Willingness to work in a drug-free environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and exercise safe work practices in accordance with WRE and DOT requirements.
• Prepare for each service job to maximize efficiency (truck readiness, tools, etc.) by following daily pre-trip and post-trip maintenance.
• Perform customer service interaction on site to ensure satisfaction.
• Observe and note defective septic components or hazards and advise maintenance or service.
• Submit quotes and service paperwork to management in a timely manner if required.
• Respond to trouble/emergency calls promptly.
• Discuss and recommend maintenance frequency with customers.
• Follow all Wind River Environmental service protocols and perform other duties as assigned by management.
