Job summary

Wind River Environmental seeks a Pump Technician to perform residential and commercial pumping and disposal of non-hazardous waste, driving a company service truck and engaging with customers in the Largo area.

The role requires a Class A or B CDL with tanker endorsement and a clean driving record. Day shift on weekdays with some evenings/weekends possible, offering a base pay of $23.00–$25.00 per hour plus overtime and safety bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Must hold Class A or B CDL with tanker endorsement.
• No restrictions (must be able to drive manual transmission).
• At least 21 years of age.
• At least one year of professional commercial driving experience.
• Ability to pass DOT drug screen, medical certification, physical exam and road exams.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and exercise safe work practices in accordance with WRE and DOT requirements.
• Prepare for each service job to maximize efficiency (get truck ready, tools, etc.) by following daily pre-trip and post-trip maintenance.
• Perform customer service interaction on site to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Observe defective septic components or hazards and provide recommended maintenance.
• Complete and submit quotes and service paperwork in a timely manner, if required.
• Respond to trouble or emergency calls promptly.
• Discuss and recommend maintenance service frequency with the customer.
• Follow Wind River Environmental service protocols.
