Job summary

McCallum Rock Drilling Inc. is seeking a CDL Powder Truck Driver to load, transport, and unload explosive products and related materials to job sites in Boise, ID.

This full-time on-site role requires safe driving, strict adherence to DOT and explosives regulations, and coordination with drilling crews for timely supply. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A or B CDL, experience with commercial trucks, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, safe driving practices, and basic vehicle inspection/maintenance.
• Ability to follow safety procedures for handling, loading, and unloading explosive or hazardous materials; prior explosives experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills for coordinating with field crews.
• Ability to work in outdoor construction/quarry environments; lifting, climbing, standing for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training is beneficial.
• Willingness to travel regionally and work flexible hours.
• Commitment to safety, reliability, and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and unload explosive products and related materials to/from job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate load documentation.
• Coordinate with blasting and drilling crews to ensure timely supply of product.
• Maintain vehicle care and comply with safety protocols and regulations.
• Adhere to DOT and explosives handling regulations while on the road and job sites.
