Responsibilities

• Establish registration records and schedule patients for appointments in EPIC.
• Input registration demographic data.
• Verify patient insurance information for coverage eligibility.
• Coordinate and participate in activities related to delivery and retrieval of patient consent records while maintaining privacy of protected health information in adherence with policies and procedures.
• Update records as needed.
• Perform and assist with special projects and events for the Methodist Le Bonheur Community Outreach team.
• Perform hearing and vision testing, height and weight measurements, and point‑of‑care tests on patients.
• Ensure the mobile unit vehicle is properly loaded and effectively manage resources such as supplies and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Plan work and complete job responsibilities efficiently and productively.
• Perform maintenance checks on vehicle and medical equipment.
• Register patients, including consents, immunization records, verification of insurance, and prepare parental mailouts and educational materials for parents.
• Drive the mobile unit vehicle to and from each clinic site.
• Maintain daily logs and maintenance schedules.
• Perform other job functions as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Work Experience: 1–3 years driving a commercial vehicle. Preferred experience in front‑desk reception or customer‑service setting.
• Licenses & Certifications: ClassB Commercial Driver License – Tennessee; Tennessee Motor Vehicle Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
• Knowledge & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance.
  • Professional work behavior and excellent customer service in all interactions.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and explain moderately complex written material.
  • Ability to communicate professionally both orally and in writing with others.
  • Ability to organize multiple tasks and workflow for self and others.

  • Must be deemed insurable by MLH insurance carrier; MVR will be checked prior to transfer or employment.
• Supervision: No lead or supervisory responsibilities assigned to this position.

Physical Demands

• Climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
• Exert up to 100lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 50lbs frequently.
• Good visual acuity required for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, or extensive reading.
