Job summary

Kirchner Building Center is seeking a CDL Delivery Driver to load, transport, and deliver lumber and building materials with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will follow all company procedures and ensure accurate paperwork for deliveries and inventory movements.

The role requires a valid CDL (Class B or higher), DOT certification, and forklift ability, along with strong customer service and teamwork to support multiple departments and locations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B (or higher) CDL license.
• DOT Medical Certification Card (interstate preferred).
• Clean driving record and ability to prevent damage to materials.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other heavy equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of lumber and building materials.
• Ability to follow company processes and procedures.
• Maintain a culture of safety and complete training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Accurately build loads and prepare materials for deliveries in a timely manner.
• Safely operate forklift in accordance with OSHA and KBC standards.
• Schedule deliveries of materials to customers with team.
• Keep lumberyard and storage areas clean and organized.
• Manage paperwork for deliveries, inventory, and inter-yard transfers.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address issues.
• Build relationships with customers, vendors and team members.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Transport product between stores safely and on time.
• Properly strap loads for transportation.
