Job summary

Farmers Union Industries, LLC is seeking a professional driver for production transportation with full-time hours. The role involves serving in a trucking capacity, performing comprehensive vehicle inspections, and maintaining accurate log and paperwork while adhering to DOT guidelines.

Applicants must hold a valid Class A CDL and DOT Medical Card, be comfortable with up to 100% travel, and operate manual transmission trucks when required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of truck driving experience.
• Ability to operate a semi-truck with a manual transmission; automatic transmission considered if necessary.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A CDL and a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate Health Card.
• Ability to perform in-depth and thorough vehicle inspections.
• Ability to remain alert and drive safely under varying traffic and weather conditions.
• Ability to use an electronic tablet or computer to enter truckload information.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Possess or be willing to obtain a tanker endorsement as routes require.
• Must be 21 years of age or older to drive a semi-truck across state lines (not required for all drivers/routes).

Responsibilities

• Perform before-, during-, and after-operation inspections.
• Operate company-owned trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations of raw materials and finished product.
• Move containers of raw material or hook up hose line as needed to load truck.
• Maintain driver log information using paperless technology.
• Accurately and legibly complete all paperwork in a timely manner and maintain records.
• Travel up to 100% of the time.
• Follow safety procedures and help ensure facility and vehicle cleanliness.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while promoting a positive company image.
