Job summary

GEODIS is hiring a Driver Line Haul in Carson, CA. The role is responsible for safe, timely deliveries and maintaining compliance with FMCSA rules. The position offers a Monday–Friday shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM and opportunities to participate in GEODIS programs and benefits.

Requirements include a valid state license, a Class A CDL with 2+ years’ experience, and strong safety, organizational, and interpersonal skills. GEODIS emphasizes growth, safety, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid state driver’s license.
• Class A CDL with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Must have passed a driver’s road test and possess a valid CDL.
• Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV.
• Must hold a valid operator’s license for the assigned vehicle type.
• Meet FMCSA/state driver qualification requirements.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive a CMV in compliance with all DOT regulations.
• Safely load, transport, and unload goods according to delivery schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and hours of service.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
• Adhere to GEODIS safety policies and procedures, including reporting requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service at all delivery points.
• Report incidents, accidents, or delays promptly.
• Other duties as required and assigned.
• Support GEODIS programs for Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, Ethics, Compliance, CSR and Sustainability.
