Job summary

LIUNA in Minneapolis seeks a hands-on construction laborer who holds a CDL. The role includes general labor and operating commercial vehicles as needed.

You will support crews with underground utilities, concrete and site work, perform traffic control, load/unload materials, and help with jobsite setup and cleanup in a union environment.

Job description

This is a hands-on construction laborer position for an individual who also holds a CDL.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will perform general construction labor and operate/drive commercial vehicles as needed.
• General construction labor, loading/unloading materials and equipment, hauling materials to and from jobsites, operating company trucks, assisting crews with underground/utilities, concrete, highway/heavy or site work, traffic control, hand and power tools, jobsite setup/cleanup, and other LIUNA-covered work.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL depending on the contractor's needs, clean/acceptable driving record, current DOT medical card, ability to perform physical construction work, willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions, reliable attendance, and ability to travel to different jobsites.
• If appropriate, you could make tanker endorsement, air brakes, equipment experience, OSHA 10/30, or underground experience preferred rather than required.
