Job summary

The CDL Trainer at PAM Transport is responsible for training drivers to produce safe, high-quality operators. You will teach in the classroom and on the road, including driving range and public roads, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

We seek candidates with at least 1 year verifiable OTR Class A experience or 1 year as a Class A CDL Instructor, a valid Class A CDL, a clean MVR, and the ability to obtain licensure as required.

Qualifications

• 1 year verifiable OTR Class A experience in the last 3 years or 1 year experience as a Class A CDL Instructor.
• Candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment skills test.
• Valid Class A CDL License.
• Clean MVR and background.
• Ability to obtain and maintain licensure as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver classroom, equipment, range, and road instruction.
• Monitor driver progress and provide additional assistance as necessary.
• Prepare reports and records accurately and completely as required by laws, policies, and school regulations.
• Manage driver behavior in the classroom and on the range by enforcing rules and procedures.
• Keep current with laws and developments related to commercial truck driving.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
