Job summary

FleetForce, partnered with Hueman, is seeking a Commercial Driver's License Instructor in Dallas, TX. This full-time role focuses on training and developing new CDL drivers in classroom settings, skills courses, and behind-the-wheel sessions.

You will help create safe, dependable drivers by guiding students through our approved curriculum, with responsibilities spanning pre-trip inspections, control skills, shifting techniques, and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Class A CDL with a minimum of 3 years driving experience.
• Current DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.
• Clean driving history and ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
• Effective English communication skills.
• Ability to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to endure Texas’s hot summer temperatures while standing outdoors for long periods.
• Willingness to work weekends as needed, since FleetForce operates 7 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle pre-trip inspections training
• Teach basic control skills, including backing into designed areas
• Instruct on uncoupling and coupling tractor/trailer units
• Train students on basic shifting techniques, including double clutching
• Guide students to safely operate commercial vehicles on rural and city roadways
• Prepare and maintain student records including training activities, test results, and performance evaluations
• Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Instructor or School Director
