Job summary

FleetForce, partnered with Hueman, is seeking a Commercial Driver's License Instructor in Pasadena, TX to train CDL students across classroom, skills courses, and behind-the-wheel settings. You will deliver curriculum, maintain records, and uphold safety standards while supporting career development in a growing statewide program.

This full-time role requires a TX Class A CDL with at least 2 years of driving experience, a current DOT Medical Card, and willingness to work weekends; FleetForce

Qualifications

• Valid TX Class A CDL with a minimum of 2 years of commercial motor vehicle driving experience.
• Current DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.
• Clean driving history and ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
• Effective English communication skills.
• Ability to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to endure Texas' hot summer temperatures while standing outdoors for long periods.
• Willingness to work weekends as needed, since FleetForce operates 7 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle pre-trip inspections training
• Teach basic control skills, including backing into designed areas
• Instruct on uncoupling and coupling tractor/trailer units
• Train students on basic shifting techniques, including double clutching
• Guide students to safely operate commercial vehicles on rural and city roadways
• Prepare and maintain student records including training activities, test results, and performance evaluations
• Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Instructor or School Director
