Job summary

Western States Equipment Company is seeking a CDL driver to deliver and pick up rental equipment across the region. You will operate a Class 8 truck, load and unload safely, and communicate equipment issues to ensure timely service.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, clean driving record, and DOT compliance. You will follow safety policies, perform daily inspections, and support team initiatives while representing the CAT Rental Store.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A CDL with excellent driving record and current DOT medical card.
• Minimum six months of over-the-road tractor-trailer experience.
• Experience operating light construction equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and picks up rental equipment using a Class 8 truck with loads up to 70,000 lbs.
• Loads/unloads equipment onto trailer and secures it per safety requirements.
• Determines efficient route based on load and traffic conditions.
• Maintains electronic Driver’s Logbook per DOT regulations.
• Operates equipment brands including CAT, Genie, JLG, and more.
• Instructs customers on proper equipment use and safety procedures.
• Reports damages, delays, or accidents promptly to leadership and rental coordinators.
