Job summary

Acme Barricades is seeking a Highway Guardrail Installer to perform a range of highway maintenance tasks in compliance with regulations and safety guidelines. A CDL is required.

You will read plans, lay out guardrails, load materials, operate post pounder/driver truck, travel to sites, record deliveries and logs, and maintain paperwork. The role demands physical stamina, outdoor work, and ability to work flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and Valid Class A CDL or commercial driver license.
• Must be able to pass FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements.
• Must provide a medical certificate.
• 3-5 years guardrail installation experience.
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Reading of plans and schematics.
• Layout of Highway Guardrail.
• Handling and installing all materials for guardrail installation.
• Loading/unloading materials on flat-bed truck, digging holes, using power tools.
• Operate Post Pounder/Driver Truck.
• Drive long distances to deliver materials to jobsites.
• Load, unload and record cargo deliveries; maintain paperwork.
• Refuel and clean vehicle; inspect trucks and report issues.
• Follow traffic laws and accident procedures.
• Maintain activities log and route planning via GPS.
