Job summary

Acme Barricades is seeking a Highway Guardrail Installer to perform installation tasks and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate power tools and load equipment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years guardrail installation experience.
• Extensive knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations.
• Experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL, CB).
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather).

Responsibilities

• Reading of plans and schematics.
• Layout of Highway Guardrail.
• Handling and installing all materials for guardrail installation.
• Loading and unloading materials on a flat-bed truck and/or trailer by hand, digging holes, using power tools.
• Operation of Post Pounder/Driver Truck.
• Drive long distances to deliver materials to jobsites in a timely manner.
• Load, unload and record cargo deliveries. Maintain paperwork.
• Refuel and clean vehicle.
• Inspect trucks and record issues. Report road incidents to the dispatcher and report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
• Follow traffic laws and accident procedures.
• Plan routes using GPS system.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
