Job summary

Moffitt Services is seeking an experienced CDL driver with tanker and hazmat endorsements to safely deliver fuel to local and regional customers in Texas. You will plan efficient routes, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and maintain delivery records while upholding safety protocols and excellent customer service.

Must have 5+ years of driving experience, 3+ years tanker work, and a clean background. DOT compliance and a reliable dispatch-ready cell phone are required.

Qualifications

• Min 5 years of verifiable driving experience.
• Min 3 years tanker experience.
• CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Clean background with no felonies.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations.
• Operates a reliable cell phone for dispatch and GPS coordinates.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain a fuel delivery truck to transport and deliver fuel to client locations.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet customer demands and schedules.
• Load and unload bulk fuel using appropriate equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for vehicle safety.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, quantities, locations, and signatures.
• Provide excellent customer service during delivery stops.
• Coordinate with logistics team to optimize routes and schedules.
• Adhere to safety regulations and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Report vehicle maintenance issues promptly to ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery truck and stocked supplies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain a fuel delivery truck to transport and deliver fuel to various client locations.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet customer demands and delivery schedules.
• Load and unload bulk fuel using appropriate equipment and follow established safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the proper functioning of the delivery vehicle.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery records, including quantities delivered, locations, and customer signatures.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally during delivery stops.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate delivery schedules and optimize routes for efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly and work with the maintenance team to ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery truck, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable driving experience.
• Minimum 3 years tanker experience.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Clean background with no felonies.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks and operate delivery equipment.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations.
• Operating and reliable cell phone (Dispatch and GPS coordinates).

Education

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required

Class A or B CDL w/ hazmat & tanker endorsements (Required)

Relocation

This position is not eligible for relocation.

Travel Requirements

Local and Regional Areas

Availability to travel for disaster response, a plus

Work Schedule/Benefits

Able to work a rotating schedule (Typically 5/2) - May have to work weekends and holidays.
