Job summary

Moffitt Services is seeking a professional fuel delivery driver to safely transport and deliver fuels to client locations in local and regional areas. The role requires route planning, pre-trip inspections, and maintaining accurate delivery records.

Qualified candidates have a Class A/B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, 5+ years of driving, and the ability to work independently on a rotating schedule. Competitive benefits after probation and a 401(k) match are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• CDL Class A or B with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements is required.
• Clean background with no felonies; ability to pass required checks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain a fuel delivery truck to transport and deliver fuel to client locations.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet customer demands and schedules.
• Load and unload bulk fuel using proper equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle.
• Maintain accurate delivery records including quantities, locations, and signatures.
• Provide excellent customer service during delivery stops and address inquiries professionally.
• Coordinate with logistics to optimize routes and schedules.
• Adhere to safety regulations and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Report vehicle maintenance issues promptly to ensure timely repairs.
• Keep the delivery truck clean, stocked, and organized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain a fuel delivery truck to transport and deliver fuel to various client locations.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet customer demands and delivery schedules.
• Load and unload bulk fuel using appropriate equipment and follow established safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the proper functioning of the delivery vehicle.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery records, including quantities delivered, locations, and customer signatures.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally during delivery stops.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate delivery schedules and optimize routes for efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly and work with the maintenance team to ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery truck, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable driving experience.
• Minimum 3 years tanker experience.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Clean background with no felonies.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks and operate delivery equipment.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations.
• Operating and reliable cell phone (Dispatch and GPS coordinates).

Education

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required

Relocation

This position is not eligible for relocation.

Availability to travel for disaster response, a plus

Work Schedule/Benefits
