Job summary

Moffitt Servicesis a Texas-based fuel and lubricants distributor seeking a driver to safely operate and maintain delivery trucks, plan routes, and provide excellent service to customers. The role requires strong driving experience, tanker experience, and CDL hazmat/tanker endorsements.

Qualifications

• Operates and maintains delivery equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain a fuel delivery truck to transport and deliver fuel to client locations.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet customer demands and schedules.
• Load and unload bulk fuel using appropriate equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including quantities, locations, and signatures.
• Provide excellent customer service during delivery stops.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to optimize routes and schedules.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and hazmat handling guidelines.
• Report vehicle maintenance issues promptly to ensure repairs.
• Keep delivery truck clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain a fuel delivery truck to transport and deliver fuel to various client locations.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet customer demands and delivery schedules.
• Load and unload bulk fuel using appropriate equipment and follow established safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the proper functioning of the delivery vehicle.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery records, including quantities delivered, locations, and customer signatures.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally during delivery stops.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate delivery schedules and optimize routes for efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly and work with the maintenance team to ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery truck, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable driving experience.
• Minimum 3 years tanker experience.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Clean background with no felonies.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks and operate delivery equipment.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations.
• Operating and reliable cell phone (Dispatch and GPS coordinates).

Education

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required

Class A or B CDL w/ hazmat & tanker endorsements (Required)

Relocation

This position is not eligible for relocation.

Travel Requirements

Local and Regional Areas

Availability to travel for disaster response, a plus

Work Schedule/Benefits

Able to work a rotating schedule (Typically 5/2) - May have to work weekends and holidays.
