Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Columbus, OH, is hiring Front Load Drivers to service commercial customers on assigned routes and haul waste or recycling to disposal sites. Responsibilities include safe operation, route maintenance, and pre/post-trip inspections while maintaining professional interactions with customers.

Qualified candidates have a valid Class B CDL, a DOT medical card, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

Must have a valid Class B CDL.
Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or be able to obtain prior to hire.
Must be at least 19 years of age.
No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
No DUI or OVI within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Must read/speak English well.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks safely to provide trash or recycling removal on assigned routes.
Maintain and update route sheets.
Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and complete DVIR logs.
Maintain cleanliness of truck cab.
Visually inspect front load containers for safe dumping procedures.
Clean up areas around containers when servicing customers.
Open and secure service gates while on site.
Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
Clean waste from packer blade and truck body while following Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
