Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving heavy commercial trucks.
• Valid Class B CDL.
• Experience with auto loading garbage trucks is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure safety equipment and gauges are in proper order.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route to the disposal site and service each customer.
• Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service across routes.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them as required by procedures.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and handle spills per safety standards.
• Maintain the vehicle and clean around the packer blade and truck body to minimize downtime.
• Complete required route sheets, DVIR, and productivity reports.
