Job summary

Vertex Energy Inc. is seeking a Filter Driver in Texas to collect used oil filters on a fixed route. You will operate a straight truck, load and unload filters, and maintain accurate records while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualified candidates hold a Class B CDL with air brake endorsement and a DOT medical card, with at least 2 years' relevant experience. The role includes a $6,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 months and room for route expansion.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.
• Valid DOT medical card and physical form.
• Must be registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Clearinghouse.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of related driving experience.
• Strong background in commercial driving with knowledge of DOT rules.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Operate company straight trucks to collect used oil filters.
• Load and unload filters from customer and company locations.
• Complete all required documentation (manifests, BOL, e-logs).
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
• Assist in route expansion and customer outreach.
• Follow all PPE and safety policies including DOT regulations.
