Job summary

Gerhart is seeking a CDL Field Service Technician to install, calibrate, and maintain heavy-capacity weighing equipment in the field. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on site and have opportunities to lead projects while mentoring peers.

The role emphasizes customer-focused problem solving and hands-on field work. Ideal candidates bring a CDL Class B, willingness to work overtime, and a solid mechanical or electrical background.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B preferred; current CDL holders may be compensated.
• Overtime flexibility to meet project needs.
• General mechanical or electrical background.
• Customer-focused mindset and self-starter attitude.
• Able to work outdoors in heat, cold, dust and dirt.
• Familiarity with industrial service tools; welding is a plus.
• Basic understanding of 120VAC/DC wiring.
• Strength and stamina to bend, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate Test Truck/Rig to install, calibrate, and maintain weighing equipment in the field.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with heavy capacity systems.
• Lead projects and mentor peers on job sites.
• Identify opportunities to help customers improve operations and provide solutions.
