Job summary

United Site Services in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Fence Technician who will drive a truck loaded with fencing materials to customer sites and install fence panels according to specifications. You will inspect tools, load materials, and coordinate with the Fence Helper to ensure timely service.

The role requires a valid CDL Class C, at least two years of commercial driving experience, and strong time management, customer service, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's license (CDL Class C).
• Excellent time management, customer service and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspection of all tools assigned to the truck to ensure safety and proper working condition.
• Check loads to ensure that truck has all material (fence panels, poles, etc.) and tools needed to complete service tickets.
• Conduct daily pre-shift vehicle inspection & report deficiencies to shop immediately.
• Operate fence vehicle to and from pre-designated work sites.
• Unload all fence materials and install fence panels, with appropriate tools, at work site in accordance with pre-determined specifications.
• Locate, measure and mark location for placement of panels & installation.
• Coordinate the workload and the efforts of the Fence Helper.
• Meet with site superintendent to confirm work order and maintain contact with supervisor.
• Record information such as personnel, production and operational data on forms and submit to Fence Manager.
• Train Fence Helper on proper installation procedures, safety protocol, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
