Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a CDL Class A license with applicable endorsements per Company requirements.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations in the last 3 years.
• Minimum 3 years of over-the-road or local driving experience.
• Must pass and maintain a DOT physical and DOT drug test (hair follicle test).
• Must hold or obtain CDL Examiner certification and be able to comply with related regulations.
• Effective communication skills in verbal, non-verbal and written forms.
• Ability to demonstrate physical, intellectual and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer CDL examinations as prescribed by state and federal regulations and company policies.
• Ensure safe operation of testing equipment and override controls as needed to prevent accidents.
• Maintain reliability and integrity of CDL exams including pre-trip, basic skills and on-road tests.
• Submit all test evaluations and required reports accurately and timely.
• Maintain professional conduct, ethics, and appropriate uniform appearance.
• Assist training department and avoid testing individuals previously trained.
• Attend CDL refresher classes and stay updated on testing procedures.
• Maintain testing equipment and support staff as required.
