Job summary

Aviator Paving, part of Cardinal Infrastructure Group, seeks a dependable Dump Truck Driver to haul materials across North Carolina. You will ensure safe operation, conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and maintain clean logs and records with accuracy.

Responsibilities include delivering hot mix asphalt to paving crews, coordinating with dispatch, and supporting ground teams as needed. A valid CDL A with Tank endorsement and DOT exam are required; job offers competitive benefits and schedule

Qualifications

• 1+ year of commercial driving experience; experience operating dump trucks or trailers in construction preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL with Tank Vehicle endorsement and a clean driving record
• Valid DOT Medical Certificate and ability to pass pre-employment and random DOT drug and alcohol testing
• Working knowledge of pre-trip/post-trip inspection procedures, hydraulic dump operation, load securement, and legal weight limits
• Ability to complete paper or electronic logs and delivery tickets accurately; basic smartphone or tablet use
• Clear communication with dispatch and field crews, dependability, and arriving on time every day

Responsibilities

• Transport construction materials and equipment to and from job sites according to the daily schedule
• Operate the truck’s hydraulic dump body to unload materials safely and accurately
• Deliver hot mix asphalt promptly to paving crews to maintain mix temperature and keep the paver moving
• Complete and maintain accurate driver logs, delivery and scale tickets, inspection reports, and fuel receipts
• Coordinate deliveries with dispatchers and ground crews; assist with light tasks when not hauling
