Job summary

Veolia is seeking a CDL Driver to transport and dispose of waste across assigned routes, maintaining accurate records and adhering to company policies. The role requires a valid CDL, Hazmat endorsement, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs while following safety procedures.

You will handle pre/post trip inspections, complete required paperwork, and deliver excellent customer service at each site. Prior route driving experience is preferred; training is provided to ensure compliance with DOT

Qualifications

• Must understand, read, and write English.
• Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check.
• Hazmat endorsement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Package and transport waste safely according to federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Complete required paperwork in accordance with regulations and customer policies.
• Load and secure materials and waste or unload truck at various customer sites or locations.
• Prepare and load truck with necessary supplies.
• Provide excellent customer service to assigned accounts daily while communicating any issues to the Manager or Dispatcher.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip truck checks.
• Plan route based on daily paperwork and follow routing software schedules.
• Follow all DOT guidelines while driving.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Job Description

In the CDL Driver role, you will be traveling to locations along an assigned route where you will be responsible for packing, transporting, and properly disposing of waste materials in accordance with our environmentally responsible policies and procedures. This position requires the maintenance of records with accuracy and attention to detail, the ability to follow instruction, and to work independently once provided proper training.

Job Details

• Package and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Complete required paperwork in accordance with appropriate regulations and customer policies, practices, and procedures.
• Load and secure materials and waste or unload truck at various customer sites or Clean Earth locations.
• Prepare and load truck with necessary supplies.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily while communicating any issues to the Manager or Dispatcher for resolution.
• Perform a documented pre-trip and post-trip check on assigned truck prior to leaving and closing each day.
• Plan schedule/route based on customer needs by reviewing daily paperwork (e.g. manifests, route sheets, etc.).
• Follow routing software route schedule.
• Follow all DOT guidelines while driving.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid ClassA or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Understand, read, and write English.
• Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel, etc).
• Willing and able to wear company-provided personal protective equipment such as eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator (as needed).
• Hazmat endorsement.
• Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check.

Preferred Requirements

• Valid TWIC Card.
• At least 1 year of route driving experience.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations.
