Job summary

Veolia in Rancho Cordova, CA is hiring a Waste Transport Driver to travel along an assigned route, packing, transporting and disposing of waste per our policies. You will support environmental safety and interact with customers.

This role requires a valid Class A CDL, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, and willingness to stay overnight on the road (about 5 overnights weekly) with hotel and per diem covered. Pay is $30.00-$32.00 per hour, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required for transporting waste.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Travel to locations on your assigned route to pack, transport and dispose of waste in compliance with policies.
• Interact with customers and internal staff to ensure service quality and safety.
• Adhere to environmental, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Support on-site and on-road operations to maintain route efficiency.

• Traveling to locations on your assigned route, you will be responsible for packing, transporting and properly disposing of waste material in accordance with our environmentally responsible policies and procedures.
• Share our commitment to the environment, our customers, regulators, and our families.
• This position requires 5overnights per week (with paid hotel expenses and nightly per diem).

Pay Range: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour

$5,000 Sign On Bonus

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• By law, you must be at least 21 years of age.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement required for transporting waste.

Preferred Requirements:

• TWIC Card.
• Experience operating vac trucks, combo vehicles, and roll offs.

As you will interact with customers and internal staff, fluency in English (verbal and written) will be important.

The successful candidate will be required to pass a DOT physical, drug test and DEA background check.
