Job summary

WM is hiring Commercial Drivers to operate heavy-duty trucks with front, side, or rear-end load lift attachments. Drivers will service containers, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and navigate diverse routes to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and reliable customer service in various driving environments. Responsibilities include driving under WM safety rules, reporting issues, attending trainings, and ensuring clean, properly dumped loads.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with air-brake endorsement is required.
• 1 year CDL driving experience or 1 year of equivalent military driving in the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work.
• Ability to read, write and speak English well enough to interact with the public and complete records.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles per WM safety rules, OSHA and DOT requirements.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and document checks.
• Report unsafe situations or service-related issues promptly.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.
• Improve route efficiencies with Operations Manager.
• Notify about incidents, accidents, injuries or hazards.
• Communicate customer requests to Dispatch.
• Fully dump receptacles and leave site clean and debris-free.
• Follow route assignments and complete end-of-day documentation.
