Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring a Driver to operate waste collection routes in a hands-on role. You will drive trucks, perform routine inspections, and ensure on-time pickups while maintaining safety and vehicle integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to pass safety-sensitive screen per company standards.
• Proven ability to safely operate truck and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks with automatic or manual transmission to collect waste on routes.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and reports.
• Communicate mechanical problems to supervisor and mechanic immediately.
• Adhere to safety standards and company policies while driving.
• Maintain a clean vehicle interior and exterior.
• Manage assigned Helper(s) if applicable.
• Record services performed accurately.
• Attend safety and branch meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
