Job summary

Feeney Brothers Utility Services in Boston, MA seeks a full-time CDL Driver/Laborer to safely operate dump truck bodies for utility projects. You’ll perform pre-trip inspections, load materials, and support groundwater and gas infrastructure tasks.

Role requires 2+ years in construction driving, CDL A/B, and OSHA 10; DOT compliance and teamwork are essential. Benefits include health, 401k, PTO, and life insurance; office is Dorchester-based with strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
• Valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction driving, preferably utility construction.
• Familiarity with natural gas utility construction and underground installations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CDL vehicles with dump bodies to transport materials.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and DOT compliance.
• Load/unload materials, secure loads, and prevent shifting during transit.
• Read construction plans and apply safety guidelines on site.
• Assist in excavation, trenching, pipeline installation, and restoration work.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logs and maintenance records.
• Communicate with team and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
• Follow company safety protocols and PPE requirements.
