The role involves manual labor to support construction activities, strict adherence to safety standards, and team collaboration in diverse weather conditions. 40+ hour weeks are typical with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B license with clean driving record and valid DOT Medical Certificate.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification or willingness to obtain.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction driving, preferably in utility construction.
• Experience with natural gas utility construction and underground installations.
• Familiarity with excavation safety practices and trenching operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CDL Class A/B vehicles with dump bodies to transport materials.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections complying with DOT regulations.
• Load/unload materials and secure loads to prevent shifting.
• Read and interpret construction plans, specs, and safety guidelines.
• Operate heavy equipment and vehicles in varied construction settings.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Complete and maintain vehicle logs, load tickets, and maintenance reports.
• Support excavation, trenching, installation, backfilling, and site restoration tasks.
