Feeney Brothers Utility Services is seeking a CDL Driver/Laborer in Fall River, MA to operate dump‑bodied trucks for utility projects and perform labor tasks in support of construction activities. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to DOT rules, and effective teamwork in diverse weather conditions.

The position involves driving, loading, excavating, and restoring sites, with training provided. Candidates should have a valid CDL, DOT medical card, OSHA 10, and at least 2 years in utility

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
• DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate is required.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification or willingness to obtain.
• Minimum of 2 years in construction driving; utility construction preferred.
• Experience with natural gas utility construction and underground installs.
• Familiarity with excavation safety and trenching practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CDL vehicles with dump bodies to transport and unload materials such as sand, gravel, and equipment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety per DOT.
• Load/unload materials and secure loads to prevent shifting.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety guidelines for commercial vehicle operation.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Lift and carry items up to 50 pounds; assist in labor tasks.
• Assist with excavation, trenching, and restoration work as needed.
