Prairieland FS, Inc. in Greenview, IL is seeking a Transportation Specialist to operate single, tandem, or multi-axle trucks to deliver agronomy and energy products. You will ensure timely, safe deliveries and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in agronomy or energy transportation is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Basic mechanical skills for vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Knowledge of safe handling and transportation of crop production input and energy products, including hazardous materials.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and agricultural equipment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with teammates at all levels.
• Ability to identify and address issues in a proactive manner.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and teammates.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsabilités

• Operate assigned vehicle safely to transport crop production inputs and energy products.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance, including pre-trip checks.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Keep the vehicle clean and organized.
• Safely load/unload cargo with proper securing and DOT compliance.
• Load and transport agricultural equipment as needed.
• Maintain documentation and inspections for regulatory compliance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and hazardous materials handling.
• Interact with customers professionally during pickups and deliveries.
• Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries.
• Keep accurate delivery and maintenance records.
• Complete and file bills of lading and invoices.
