Job summary

Ancora Education in Indianapolis is seeking a CDL Driver Trainer to lead and deliver training across over-the-road, range, and classroom settings. You will guide learners through pre-trip inspections, air-brake tests, and driving maneuvers while upholding program policies and safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have a CDL, 3 years of on-the-road experience, and proven teaching能力 with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL license in the required class.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years of verifiable on-the-road experience within the last 5 years.
• MVR and background check including a drug screen.
• DOT physical and DOT drug screen.
• Ability to pass our road test.
• Maintain Medical Examiner Certificate and pass DOT drug tests.
• Knowledge of pre-trip inspections, air-brake tests, and CDL driving essentials.
• Ability to instruct shifting patterns in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and maintains a positive learning environment.
• Convenes all assigned classes per their start and end times.
• Maintains a safe environment for all students and staff.
• Delivers instruction in trucking/driving skills and safety.
• Administers written tests and evaluates grades.
• Maintains records of student progress and attendance.
• Inspires student confidence in program and faculty.
